My last trip this year was to Hawaii, so I was inspired today to make Giovanni’s Shrimp Trucks butter garlic shrimp. This was pretty simple to make and definitely brought me back to Oahu.

INGREDIENTS:

- 1 pound shrimp deveined with shell on (you can take the shell off if you prefer)

- 2 tablespoons flour

- 1 tablespoon paprika

- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- 1 stick butter

- 1 head garlic minced

- 3 tablespoons oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Pat shrimp dry and set aside.

2. In a small bowl, combine flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper. Mix well.

3. Add shrimp to mixture, toss and coat. Set aside.

4. In a large pan, melt butter.

5. Add garlic to butter and cook until golden.

6. Pour garlic butter into a bowl.

7. In the same pan, add oil and place shrimp in. Cook each side for 2 minutes.

8. Pour garlic butter back into the pan and mix well with shrimp for about 1 minute.

9. Serve with rice or pasta and squeeze some lemon on it!
