Double Double Burger
Made my all time favorite burger! I have always loved the double double from In N Out so I decided why not try to make it?! For this recipe it’s all in the sauce... If you get that down, the burger tastes very close to the real deal. This will definitely fulfill your In N Out cravings if you don't have one near you.
INGREDIENTS for sauce:
- 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 3 teaspoons dill pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- Salt

- 1 pound ground beef chuck 80/20
- 4 small plain hamburger buns
- 8 slices American cheese (the softer kind)
- 4 sliced white onion (make sure to not separate the rings)
- 4 sliced thick tomatoes
- 4 iceberg lettuce leaves
- Salt for taste
INSTRUCTIONS for sauce:
1. Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly.
2. Put in the fridge to keep cool.
INSTRUCTIONS for burger:
1. Cut white onion and tomato.
2. Make 8 burger patties, make sure to flatten pretty thin.
3. Sprinkle salt on both sides of the patties.
4. In a pan on medium heat, toast the inside of the burger buns.
5. In a large pan place patties in and cook on one side for 1 minute.
6. Flip patty over, add cheese (make sure you fold corners in so it all fits on patty).
7. Place onion on top and cook patty until the cheese has melted.
8. Assemble burgers by spreading sauce on the bottom bun.
9. Add tomato then lettuce.
10. Gently place two patties on top of lettuce and finish with the top bun.
